I know you've seen those houses. You know the ones I mean. The ones with the double-wide driveways and three-car garages with room to park another car NEXT to the garage. Or the houses with the detached garage where the driveway flares out before the garage doors just in case the driveway wants to do donuts or some fancy spin outs.
Now you've got a picture of that kind of house in your head try to remember how many people you've actually seen USE that part of their driveway to turn their cars around? People that decide "maybe I'll drive nose first out onto the street." I bet you can't name ANY. I think that extra space repels cars or something. It must have an invisible force field around it making it impossible for owners to head out of their driveways nose first.
When someone has a driveway that big what the hell is stopping them from backing out of their garage, TURNING THE CAR AROUND, and driving nose first out of the driveway? I'm sure drivers of the vehicles on the road passing the house would really appreciate knowing you see them. I know I would. I prefer that so much more than feeling like I'm playing Chicken with the car backing out of the driveway. Playing Chicken on my way to work and getting my heart rate up that early in the morning doesn't sit well with me.
And for the record, no, I can't turn my car around in my driveway. Invisible force field or not.
